SPA PUMPS - At Cedar Tubs Direct we use only the best hot tub pumps, in our tubs. These are the Balboa Victoria & Niagara series pumps, previously designated as Ultrajet Ultima and Ultimax pumps. A pump must have one critical feature RELIABILITY! The simple truth is that that cheap spa pumps don't last. A pump failure can lead to significant damage if, for example, it leads to water in the piping freezing or if it leads to flooding of the home and other damage. Our Ultima & Ultimax spa pumps are now manufactured by Balboa the largest pool and spa parts manufacture in the world. The Ultimax, now Niagara pumps, represents their top pump series and are built for long pump life as well as quiet operation and energy efficiency. We also sell a variety of circulation pumps made bu US manufacture Balboa and by German Manufacture Laing.
If your spa pump has failed, I suggest you look at these pumps, even if it is not an ULtraJet or Balboa Pump. While manufactures may want you to buy the pump through them, the fact is you can replace your pump with any similar rated pump. The main factors to consider when choosing a replacement spa pump are:
1.) Spa Pump Voltage- Is your existing spa pump a 110 - 120 VAC or a 220-240 VAC pump?
2) Horsepower/Amps- Don't get confused by terms like HPR, which overstates the true horsepower. Our pumps are specified as true horsepower, HP. When in doubt make the match to the Amps rating found on the motor label. To double the flow requires increasing the horse power by 8 times. So a small change in horsepower either up or down will have little effect on flow.
3.) Spa Pump Speeds- Is you spa pump a 2 speed pump or a single speed pump? Our spa pumps are all 2 speed but can also be used as 1 speed pump. You can use a 2-speed pump as a 1 speed pump, by only connecting the high speed terminal. Only our circulation pumps come as 1 speed pumps.
4.) Connection Arrangement - All of our spa pumps are center suction and side discharge pumps. Most of them are designed to use 2" unions, but a few have 1-1/2" Un ions, such as most of our circulation pumps. Some pumps have what is called a center discharge while others have a bottom suction (often called whirlpool pumps). These styles we do not sell.

ULTIMA JET PUMPS - Ultima Pumps - Ultima Plus Pumps -Ultimax Pumps
Replacements for Ultrajet Spa Pumps, Ultima Plus Spa Pumps, Ultima Spa Pumps and Ultimax Spa Pumps now Victoria and Niagara Pumps are factory new replacement pumps, along with new G.E. or A.O. Smith Century motors. Older versions of these pumps may have UltraJet, VICO, Pentair or Balboa labels.
We supply factory new pumps that are replacements for Sta-Rite Dura-Jet Spa Pumps, Sta-Rite Durajet pumps are now made by Balboa Water Group and will Have the Balboa label. Motors are AO Smith, Century or GE.
LAING Circulating Pumps
ITT Laing Circulating Pumps are the most efficient and quiet circulation pumps made. All use ECM technology which provided electronically controlled communictation resulting in 40% or more improvement in efficiency over standard ac motors. These pumps are manufactured in Germany, by Laing a division of ITT. Some pumps are targeted at the spa market, while others are marketed at the solar and home heating market. They all are whisper quiet and superior replacements for other Spa Circulating Pumps such as the Waterway Mighty Mite, or models made by Grunfus.
