Dual sauna thermometer & hygrometer (humidity)

A thermometer is a must in any sauna.  Controlling the sauna temperature is  important for comfort and safety.  All saunas should have a thermometer.  The placement of the thermometer will effect its reading.  Higher up will read hotter.  We recommend the thermometer be placed at head level relative to seating height.  

A Hygrometer, is a device that measures the relative humidity level in a sauna.  This is very important as the humidity level in a sauna effects the overall perceived body temperature.  If the sauna is  130 degrees, adding moisture will increase the perceived temperature inside the sauna to more than 130 degrees.  Some bathers prefer a wet or high humidity level in a sauna.  The moisture helps relieve dry skin and eases lung congestion.
